There is no clinically validated human dose you can look up here, because for this compound one does not exist in the way regulated drugs have. We report what research and regulators actually say, and nothing more.
What it is
BPC-157 ("Body Protection Compound 157") is a synthetic chain of 15 amino acids, originally isolated from a protein sequence found in human gastric juice in the early 1990s. It is studied mainly for tissue, tendon, and gut repair.
The evidence, stated plainly
A 2025 systematic review in the HSS Journal documented zero completed controlled human efficacy trials, a plasma half-life under 30 minutes, and no human clinical safety data. The few human studies that exist enrolled roughly 2, 12, and 16 people, none randomized or placebo-controlled. The encouraging results people cite are real, but come from rats.
Evidence is largely preclinical (animal/in-vitro). We label evidence by its strongest honest tier, never by a vendor’s enthusiasm.
Half-life & timing
In animals the elimination half-life is roughly 8 to 30 minutes. The "4 to 6 hours" figure common on vendor sites has no published human basis. Because its proposed effects are slow tissue changes, a short half-life is not evidence against it, but it does undercut the claim that one daily injection holds a steady blood level.
Regulatory status
No FDA-approved indication. As of September 2023, classified as a 503A Category 2 bulk drug substance, which prohibits its use in pharmacy compounding. In sport it is prohibited and remains detectable in urine for about four days.
Storage & handling
Lyophilized powder is stored at 2 to 8 C, or below -20 C for longer storage, stable roughly 12 to 24 months. Once reconstituted in bacteriostatic water it is kept at 2 to 8 C and never frozen; bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) keeps a solution usable up to about 28 days, versus about 24 hours for plain sterile water. Inject water down the vial wall and swirl gently, never shake.

BPC-157 is one of the most studied peptides in tissue-repair research, with a real preclinical record. It is also unapproved, unstandardized, sold as a research chemical, and untested in the controlled human trials that would tell anyone how to use it safely. Both are true at once.
