There is no clinically validated human dose you can look up here, because for this compound one does not exist in the way regulated drugs have. We report what research and regulators actually say, and nothing more.

What it is

Tesamorelin is a stabilized analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. It is FDA-approved, but for a narrow indication: reducing excess abdominal fat in people with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. It is the only currently marketed FDA-approved GHRH analog.

The evidence, stated plainly

The approved indication is trial-backed. Its popular use for general anti-aging or body composition in healthy people is off-label and not what the approval covers, so the strong evidence applies to a specific population, not to everyone.

Why we grade this “FDA-approved”

Approved by the FDA; a real label and dosing exist. We label evidence by its strongest honest tier, never by a vendor’s enthusiasm.

Half-life & timing

As a GHRH analog it acts briefly (roughly 10 to 40 minutes) to stimulate the pituitary, and is dosed per its label.

Regulatory status

FDA-approved, prescription-only, for HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Use outside that indication is off-label; gray-market versions are unregulated.

Storage & handling

Follow the approved product label; the drug requires specific reconstitution and handling defined by the manufacturer.

The math is the dangerous part

Whatever dose a protocol or provider gave you, converting it to syringe units is where errors turn into 10× mistakes. Our calculator does only that conversion — it never invents the dose.

The honest bottom line

Tesamorelin shows how "FDA-approved" can be narrower than it sounds: real approval, real trials, but for one specific condition. Marketing that implies general anti-aging approval is overstating what the label says.
